Hey guys!
I know your looking at the title of this post and thinking"seriously? sharing? what is she, 5?" but, this is important. I know a lot of people who don't really share with their younger siblings, even I sometimes don't give my little brother something of mine that he wants, but I realized, that, he really looks up to me, and I see his face when I give him something of mine that he's wanted for a long time, it lights up  with joy, so the next time a younger sibling wants something of yours, just let them have it. Its worth it because you know that your making him/her happy.

My Day

Hey Guys!

OK, so today my day was awesome. First, my dad, brother, and I took a walk in Hermann Park. Then, we passed a rack full of bikes that you could rent for an hour and ride around Hermann Park, they were meant for adults, but with a little practice, I got the hang of it. So after an hour of biking, my dad suggested that we paddle boat in the lake in Hermann Park. And it was awesome!!!!!!! the view was great, and paddling was fun! But there was one downside today. When I was biking, I was still getting the hang of riding an adult bike, and my dad was still catching up to me because he didn't get a bike, so I passed a group of teenagers, 2 boys and 1 girl, and when I passed them, I smiled, you know, just to be nice, and then who looked like the eldest of them asked "Aren't you too small to be biking on your own?" and just as I was trying to stop the bike to answer that my dad was just back there, I lost my balance and fell, And they started pointing at me and laughing hysterically, like it was the funniest thing they ever saw, so I just got up and started biking away, and by the time I was on the other side, they were still pointing at me and laughing. I wish they didn't have to be such jerks. people can sometimes be really mean, especially since they were strangers and i'd never seen them in my whole entire life!

Good Sportsmanship

Hey Guys!

OK, so yesterday I had a basketball game, and it was fun, but our team lost. But it wasn't so bad, I mean, I did my best trying, right? well, a few of my other teammates didn't think so. They weren't good sports about losing. But, I mean, seriously, its just a game! Your supposed to have fun and try your best, and if you lose, well, just try again next time. Because after all, its just a game so you can get your exercise and strengthen your body.

Sorry that I haven't been posting that much lately, with my schoolwork and stuff!

OK, so this blog post is going to be about being happy! because I've noticed that some people I know have been really grumpy, and when they are, they take it out on other people that have nothing to do with it. and that's just cold. DON'T DO IT!!! So, when your mad, maybe take deep breaths, or count to ten, that always calms me down. Do whatever makes you feel in control, but whatever you do, do not take it out on other people.

Best day ever!!!!

Hey guys!

So, a couple days ago, my teacher said that we were going to have an election for a student ambassador, and she said we had to make a speech to write for the election, to show why you want people to vote for you. So I stayed up all night that day writing my speech, and when I finally finished, it was great! So the next day we had the elections, and a lot of people had already told me they were going to vote for me, so I had my hopes up. After the 4 candidates read their speeches, it was time to vote, so my teacher gave everyone a slip of paper, and told them to go somewhere away from other people, and to write who they were going to vote for, and then we were going to put them in this big Abraham Lincoln hat, and then the teacher was going to count the votes. Well, anyway, these were the votes: the 2 boy candidates both got 2, my friend Zoe got 4, and....... drum-roll please............ I GOT 8!!!!!!!!! Yay!!!! I'm really happy, plus I'm not trying to brag....ya.

Sunday

Hey guys!
Today is Sunday! I love Sunday, but not as much as I love Saturday, because every Saturday morning I wake up before I'm supposed to, and start getting ready for school, until I remember: NO SCHOOL!!!! And I can just go back to peaceful old sleep............ Ahhhhhhhh....... so relaxing.
Sorry, I just got a little carried away. Anyway, today is Sunday, and I just want to chillax and enjoy my last day of freedom(of this week) because thankfully, I finished all my homework yesterday. This is probably not the most interesting blog post ever, but this is what boredom does to people.

Book Fair(part 2)

Hey guys!

OK!!!! I'm back from the book fair, and it was EPIC!!!!!!!! I arrived kind of late, but it didn't matter! OK, so first, I listened to my friends read their papers, and then it was my turn, and I read mine. Then, the last group of people were some of my especially awesome friends, and they shared their plate tectonics video/movie, and I have to say it was the highlight of the night, it was amazingly hilarious, and very informative. Then, me and my friends just kind of walked around Barnes and Noble, admiring Harry Potter collectibles(don't ask) and buying books, and I bought some pretty awesome books, and I can't wait to read them!!!! Anyway, I had so much fun tonight and I hope you did too!!!!

Book Fair

Hey guys!

Today is the book fair! its going to be at Barnes and Noble! I'm really excited because there's a lot of books I want to get there! Hard Luck just came out and I really want to get it! Also, my class gets to present some project we have been working on this year to all the parents and kids! isn't that exciting?! And after that I just get to hang out with my friends at Barnes and Noble, and of course, get more books!

My day (yesterday)

Hey guys!
Yesterday was awesome!!!!! First at school we had a Halloween party, and it was epic! We had a huge feast, a Halloween parade, Halloween games, a costume contest, and we watched Ghost Busters!  Then after that I went to my friend's Halloween party, and she invited everybody, which was really awesome of her! So first we just hung around her house and ate pizza, and then we all went trick or treating! First it was kind of hard with all the kids, but after a while it got more and more fun! It was really amazing to see all the really awesome(but a little overboard) decorations, like seriously, there was this house that was decorated so it could be a graveyard, and it had tombs and stuff, and they put a little pond with bubbles and fog coming out and they put a sign right in front of it that said DANGER! and then the whole area was covered with smoke so that you couldn't see anything, which was EPIC! Then we went back to her house and ate jelly beans and just hung out until our parents came, and when my mom came we made plans with my friend Emma today! I cant wait!

Accusing people

Today's post is going to be about accusing people. Because that is a really important topic. And I've seen this happen a lot, and its really frustrating and rude. But here's the worst part, when you accuse someone of doing something when its not true, and then you spread rumors about that person. That makes people feel pretty bad. So here's a life lesson: don't do it.

You know how some people are soo embarrassed by their family? ya well I think that's stupid, I mean these are your family were talking about, and if its your parents, that's just cold. these people brought you into this world, and your embarrassed by them?  I find that hard to believe, you should be proud of your family, not embarrassed by them.

All I can say is: wow.
some people are so rude! people who are like that, all I can say:" cut it out and be nice for a change! you never know, you might like it!" Because seriously, not only is it annoying, but it hurts peoples feelings. And sometimes it causes people to have emotional issues. You could totally ruin someones life and experience if your mean to them, and sometimes just a kind word can make someones day! Its that simple.

My week

Hey guys!
Sorry for the delay on posts, but I was at camp with my school! we left on Monday, and came back today. the bus trip took one hour, so that wasn't so bad, plus we watched: My Neighbor Totoro. when we got to the camp, we went straight to the cabins to set up our stuff, and then we sprung straight to the activities.
First, we went paddle boarding, which is kinda like canoeing, except the board is more flat, and you have to stand on it. We did a bunch of other stuff, like hold snakes, pet pigeons, go on hikes, and more, but I don't think I can name them all. then, today in the morning before we left, we passed by our old campsite that I had in third grade, and its just so cool how you can point to every spot and say: " Oh, I did blablablabla over there" or " I played with blablablabla over there!" And when I walked by there, only one thought came into my head: " Good times......Good times" 

Creativity

Hey guys!

Many people are not proud to show their creativity, like in some classes like art, after finishing a project, painting, drawing, or any other form of art, my friends would say: " I hate mine! yours is sooo much better!" So I say:"well I love mine, and I think yours is awesome!"  Because seriously, if you try to hide your skills, your not gonna get anywhere in life!

Being rude

Hey guys!

Sometimes I see people my age or any age being rude to their parents or their teachers, or any other grown up in their lives. And let me just say, that is not okay(hey that rhymes!) First of all,if its you're parents you're being rude to, then that's the worst thing ever, I seriously, these people raised you, put up with you, cared for you, and you're mom had you in her stomach! Don't you think you should be a little(a lot) more grateful? And if its a teacher, then that is the most uncool thing EVER. They are trying to teach you! Give you your education, without them, you probably wont get into college, which wont get you a decent job, which would effect your WHOLE LIFE.

Being awesome

Being weird is like being awesome. if your not weird in some way(which is impossible) then you are the most lame person on earth. Some people tease people for being weird, but its a human nature. Once someone said I was really weird and I answered " I'm weird and I'm proud of it! And you should be. Being weird is awesome, so don't try to hide your awesomeness! Embrace it!

Ok, so, today I went to my friends brothers b-day party, and it was really epic because they had a dunk tank and at night we watched the lord of the rings outside in their backyard because they had rented one of those big puffy movie screens projector thingies. First day of school

Hello.........
Today was my first day of school! It was awesome! I saw all my friends, my teachers, got new school supplies, the usual. Plus, we got new people in our class, which is awesome since that way I can make new friends. Again plus, we got 2 gerbils! And they are sooooo cute! we named them chocolate and marshmallow.
I can't wait 'till tomorrow so I can go back! YAY!!

HELLO.............


Hey guys, I was just reading a really cool book. I love reading, its just like watching a movie, but better, in fact, once, I was reading, but my mom called me, so I looked at my book, and tried to find the pause button! hahahahaha. Anyway, I know this sounds weird, but books affect me, like if i'm reading a sad part in my book, when I leave it, i'm grumpy. When i'm reading a happy part, I'm so energetic, happy, and bubbly that its a little freaky. That's why I love reading and I absolutely do not understand why some people say they hate reading.

I just came back from my back to school conference, and I think its gonna be a great year! Anyway, I still have about 20 hours of freedom before school officially starts! what should I do?! SO many things I absolutely NEED to do before school starts! Eat ice cream, play computer games, go to the park, eat more ice cream.........SO many things!!!!

Don't you hate it when somebody comes over, maybe your friend or just one of your parents friends kids, and they start going through your drawers or just simply taking stuff? like one time my moms friend came over, and she brought her daughter who is maybe 2 years younger than me, and she actually wrote on my desk! She wrote her name and then: is awesome. well let me tell you something, if you do stuff like that, you would hardly be considered as awesome! Its actually kind of freaky, when someone you hardly know goes through you're drawers like they own the house or something. So, if you know anyone who does that, tell them to stop.

So, the new school year is starting, and a lot of people have been telling me they're nervous. Well, don't be, there's nothing to be worried about,all you have to do is be yourself, and if anyone teases you about it, just tell them to back off.

Hey guys!

Today I went swimming with my 2 friends, and while we were there, these 2 women kept on staring at me like I just crashed into the water in my spaceship. And to be honest, it was kind of annoying, like, I wasn't staring at you, so why are you staring at me? You know? So, keep in mind, don't stare at people, because it can get really annoying.

Loud music in cars

Hey guys!

These days i've been disrupted a lot because so many cars have been passing by our apartment building, and the drivers blast up the music so loud that sometimes I think my ears are gonna bleed.
And, I heard on the radio a couple of weeks ago that music thats playing that loud, or any loud noise that you hear every day can kill ear cells, and you could end up deaf. So, please, people who do that, please respect yourself and others.

The Environment

Hey guys!

A while ago, I was sitting at my window, and I saw a big truck spilling this disgusting looking liquid out into the street. But the truck wasn't moving, and the driver was out of the truck and just watching, not doing anything to stop it. After they left, I made a big sign that said: RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT, its beautiful. And I taped it on the window so that everyone outside could see.

     Because really, it is beautiful, and you should respect it. think about this, and then think up things you could do to contribute to the environment.

We can do anything!

Hey guys!
So remember when I said I was going swimming? Ya, so I went swimming, and there were these boys, and they kept on squirting me with their water guns, so then I started playing with them and I squirted them with water from my water gun, and then their uncle said " wow! I cant believe a girl got you!" and then I said "you can do anything you want, even if your a girl or a boy." Because seriously, his little comment kind of ticked me off, I mean, who cares if i'm a girl? Is it illegal or something for a girl to be able to do something too? And after that, he looked kind of surprised, like he didn't think I would even have the courage to say that.
But seriously, you shouldn't think that just because you're a different gender than somebody doesn't mean you cant do the same things.

Languages

Hey guys!
I just thought of something...... you know how most schools have Spanish or French classes, or in general a second language class? Some people do not appreciate that. They would say things like"why do we need to learn that? we don't live in Spain or France!" or "i'm not going to be an international spy! so why do i need to learn that language?" well, i'll tell you something, how do you know you're not gonna be an international spy? And you don't have to be a spy to be bilingual, you can even be a scientist who has to communicate with other people from different places to get his job done. Or you could be a world famous doctor who has to travel around the world to see different patients. You could be anything really, if you just put your mind to it.......now I sound like my mother! Anyway, you're going to need to use different languages later on in your life, so take advantage of these classes and learn, learn, learn!

Hi guys!
Summer is almost over, so take advantage of it! Go swimming, meet up with friends, enjoy your homework-free days! Because if you don't, when school starts you'll be whining and complaining " I wish it was summer again!! wawawawa" like right now, I'm getting ready to go swimming! Because later on, you're gonna regret the days of summer you spent sitting on the couch doing nothing useful whatsoever.

Younger siblings=precious

Hey guys!

These are a couple of reasons of why you shouldn't be mean to your younger siblings:

they wouldn't have a personality and would always just copy what anybody else does
it would lower their self esteem
it would hurt their feelings

And the rest? I don't know, because thankfully, i'm not a younger sibling.
But, I just wanted you to know these things so you can make sure that they do not happen.

The Bored Disease

Hello again!

hi! i know a lot of people have been pretty lazy this summer, and I know that from personal experience, but, if you're that bored, try distracting yourself by doing something fun!
this is what I would do:
find decorating accessories and decorate your room
read a book
make bracelets
create a blog
ride your bike
watch a movie
clean your room
video chat with friends
make a poster
make a book
write a book
cover boxes with duck tape to make them look cool
make a ten layer sandwich
eat your ten layer sandwich
take a nap
paint the house neon green

I'm fresh out of ideas!

My Day

Ok, so today for breakfast we went to Sweet Paris for breakfast, and I had a delicious dulche de leche crepe with banana's on top, then we went to mattress firm to get my brother's mattress, then we came back home, blablablablablabla......... I'm not really getting to the point am I? yeah..... I thought not. Anyway, while we were at Sweet Paris, I looked over at this girl and smiled, and, you see, I was expecting her to just look at me with an annoyed look, but she smiled! You know, you guys are probably thinking, well, whats so cool about that? and stuff, and yes, people had smiled at me in the past, but these days I've mostly been getting sullen looks. anyway, what I'm trying to say is, people should really be more polite to other people, even if they're complete strangers. I mean, if you've had a bad day, you really shouldn't take it out on other people, even if, as I said, they're complete strangers.

Watch out for the bully!

       Hey guys! School is going to start in a few weeks and if there is another bully this year, I am gonna be seriously aggravated.
      Seriously! People who think picking on kids is cool, have really gotta get a life. a few years ago He-who-must-not-be-named(ha ha) and some fellow death eaters(double ha ha) actually stole things from other people, including me. Luckily, I expertly retrieved my things and got an apology letter from you-know-who and the death eaters, but kids are suffering from bullies all around the world. So, if you see a bully picking on a friend or anybody, tell them to get a life and then call a parent or teacher for support!

knock 'em dead!(not literally!)

Sometimes, when i'm in the car going to the mall or to a restaurant I hear people saying bad things to each other because one of them made a driving mistake, but is it seriously worth getting on someones bad side? I mean, who cares if you're late for a meeting, and anyway, if you do stuff like that on the street, I'm seriously wondering why you're boss even calls you to meetings.
I mean, we all make mistakes, I'm sure even you've made a driving mistake about a gazillion times in you're life, so why take it out on the nice guy taking his family to the movies who made a tiny innocent mistake? People who do these things should really get a life.

I'm feeling very colorful right now as you can see, but kinda sad too, I just finished reading catching fire for like the billionth time, and its as fantastic as ever! Anyway's, today we bought the matress for my brothers bed, because now we are going to share a room, which was devastating at first, but now its kind of a releif, because he can finally have his wish come true, and he will stop whining about it, and another reason is that i love my brother no matter how annoying he can be!

    So, before we get started on any posts or whatever, i'd like to introduce myself, first of all, my name is Dua'a, my favorite color is green, I have a little brother, i'm an outdoorsy person, and I am also a morning person.

    I admit I do sleep with my stuffed animals, and i'm kinda sorta kinda sorta afraid of the dark,( and no, that was not a typo, I did just write kinda sorta kinda sorta on my blog.)

    I also LOVE reading, seriously, it is practically my life! that's why I wanna be a writer when I grow up, or a journalist, or a photographer, or a soccer player, or a scientist.......where were we? oh yeah, as you can see in my daydreaming above, I love soccer and science(even though i'm not very good at science, but hey, a girl can dream.)
